Welcome to the Classic!
The Dakota Walleye Classic is an annual fishing tournament held at the Beulah Bay Campground in Beulah, North Dakota. The 2024 tournament takes place July 26th – 27th, and is open to anglers of all types. The event is a two-day competition, with cash prizes awarded to the top teams based on the weight of their catch.
The Dakota Walleye Classic is held on Lake Sakakawea, which is a popular destination for walleye fishing in North Dakota. The lake is known for its clear waters and abundant population of walleye, which can grow to large sizes. The tournament attracts anglers from around the region and has become a popular event in the the state.
In addition to the fishing competition, the Dakota Walleye Classic also includes a variety of other activities, such as live music, food vendors, and a beer garden. The event is organized by the Lignite Veteran’s Memorial Park Foundation and is a major fundraiser for the organization, with proceeds going toward community development projects.
